Public Education

Public Education: The Springfield Township Fire Department is committed to offering public education in an effort to mitigate the risk of fire and other emergencies.

  • CPR/AED/First Aid – If you are in need of CPR, AED, or first aid training, contact LT. Ben Kohler
  • Fire Extinguisher training – If you or your business is in need of fire extinguisher training, contact LT. Marc Welsh
  • Stop The Bleed – If you or your business are in need of Stop the Bleed training, contact LT. Ben Kohler 
  • Public Relations – The Springfield Township Fire Department endeavors to be a partner with our community members. We regularly attend community events. If you would like to have a crew present at your function, contact Nellie.ball@springfieldfire.com.
  • Safety Town – The Springfield Township Fire Department and the Village of Holland Police Department offer a two-week safety camp each summer for children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. T-Shirt Design Contest

Entry and Design Guidelines:

Entries can be submitted to Courtney.smith@springfieldfire.com or by mail at 7617 Angola Rd., Holland, OH 43528, or dropped off at any the Springfield Township Fire Departments, The Village of Holland’s Police Department, or the Springfield Township Administration building at the above address.

Submittal will begin March 5, 2025. The entry deadline is April 30, 2025.

The design must contain the words “Safety Town” and represent an aspect of the program.

The entry should be accompanied by your name and contact information including mailing address, phone number and email.

The design may be drawn, printed, or digital. Electronic submissions are preferred, and files must be saved to 300 dpi and be high resolution in either .AI, .EPS, . CDR, PDF, .SVG format. You will be required to provide the original design in a high-resolution format.

Design dimensions should not exceed 14″ x 17″.

Shirts will be a solid color. Design must be able to be screen printed. Maximum of 5 ink colors. Preference given to fewer colors.
We reserved the right adjust the winning design.

Upon contacting winner and determining that they have met all eligibility requirements of the contest, such individual will be declared a “winner” of the contest via social media and email.

All entries must be original creations that have never been published and do not contain any profanity, trademarks, logos, restricted copyrighted works of any other person or business.

The winning design will remain the property of Springfield Township Fire Department and Safety Town and will not be returned to you, nor will you receive any compensation for said design other than the aforementioned prize package. The winning contestant may display their design in a portfolio or personal collection but may not sell or reproduce the design for any other purpose once submitted for the contest.

By submitting an entry and including your name, address, and contact information, you are acknowledging your acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules including that the winning design is the property of Springfield Township and Safety Town.

More than one entry can be submitted by an individual, but they must be submitted as separate entries. The winner will be notified via email. Failure to respond to notification withing (7) days after transmission will result in forfeiture; and the return of email notification undeliverable after three attempts; Winner’s failure to provide original design files and failure to submit a completely original design.
