Springfield Township Fire department is seeking motivated individuals interested in working in a growing community for a progressive fire department. Springfield Township Fire Department is an all-hazards department located in Lucas County. Please see our “About Us” section of our website for more information about our department.

Springfield Township Fire Department Minimum Job Requirements.

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for employment with the Springfield Township Fire Department:

• 18 years of age at time of application
• Possession of a valid Ohio State Driver’s License at the time of appointment
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• State of Ohio Level 1 Firefighter Certification
• State of Ohio EMT-Basic Certification
• Firefighter Mile Certificate (Preferred)

Applicants must pass all portions of the selection process, which includes a background check and the following:

• Oral examination
• Medical examination
• Background check including driving record, criminal history
